For three months in 2023, the second iteration of the Counterpublic triennial engages histories and imagines new possibilities for the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Public art projects realized along the north-south corridor of Jefferson Avenue invite conversations on the role of art and creativity in the world today. In public places, cultural institutions, historic houses, and community gathering spaces, participating curators, artists, collectives, and local organizers illuminate our contemporary moment and express hope for the future.
