Miami Art Week—one of the rare moments that we intersect with the art market, is a chance to consider the role of collecting in our cultural eco-system. Every December since 2002, Art Basel Miami Beach has brought a growing infusion of global commerce to the city we call home. There’s no denying that the art scene here is growing and thriving as a result.
This image gallery reflects a few of the impressions we took away from the latest annual city-wide burst of creative energy. For our team, the week offered welcome relief from the non-stop avalanche of news of the political, social and economic issues ravaging the world today. We took the time to rest our eyes on a few bright spots in the universe of contemporary art and, of course, spark meaningful conversations about creativity.
