FRESH ART INTERNATIONAL RADIO TO EXPAND REACH AND COVERAGE OF SOUTH FLORIDA ARTS AS RECIPIENT OF $50,000 KNIGHT ARTS CHALLENGE GRANT FROM THE JOHN S. AND JAMES L. KNIGHT FOUNDATION
Here’s the official release!
Dec. 4, 2017 (MIAMI) – Independent curator, founder and host of Fresh Art International, Cathy Byrd will now be able to widen the impact and intensify the coverage of her Miami-based internet art talk radio show thanks to a $50,000 Knight Arts Challenge grant award from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
The weekly program Ms. Byrd launched on Jolt Radio in late 2016 heightens the global exposure of the revolutionary culture makers transforming Miami and South Florida. With Knight Foundation funds, she will continue to spark meaningful and engaging conversations, reach new listeners, spotlight emerging arts initiatives, host remote live streaming radio events and syndicate the Fresh Art International show—spotlighting and encouraging those who energize the region’s year-round cultural eco-system.
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s Knight Arts Challenge funds the best ideas for bringing South Florida together through the arts.
