During Armory Arts Week 2014 in NYC, artist Rashaad Newsome conducted FIVE at the Drawing Center. The multimedia performance centered on five classic vogue moves: hand performance, floor performance, catwalk, dips and spins, and duckwalk. In digital line drawings projected streaming onto the wall behind the dancers, the artist (seated with laptop at the edge of the dance floor) mapped their repeated gestures through time and space. The performance by New York-based vogue dancers and musicians, included renowned opera singer, Stefanos Koroneos (at far right in most views of the performance), and Vogue Commentator, Kevin Jz Prodigy (with dancers, holding microphone).
