At Volta New York, DC-based artist Wilmer Wilson IV performed My Paper Bag Colored Heart, a durational performance with inflated paper bags. According to the artist, the work is “a meditation on skin, objecthood, and liminality, through the historical lens of the paper bag as an implement of colorist.”
