57th Venice Art Biennale
In Venice, we’ll see projects by more than 140 artists from seven continents. Here’s U.S. Pavilion artist Mark Bradford with collaborators from a local women’s prison. We’ll take you to see the outcome of their Process Collettivo.
2017 International Curators Convening
The Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) and OSLO PILOT host the 2017 International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT) Convening in Oslo and Tromsø, Norway. Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) is one of the myriad cultural venues we’ll explore.
documenta 14
A tale of two cities, the fourteenth documenta exhibition opens on 8 April, in Athens, Greece, with 160 artists in 40 venues. Stay tuned for details on the Kassel, Germany exhibition that opens 10 June. One of the artists we’ll introduce to you is Hong Kong native Samson Young. He’s presenting sound art for documenta 14 and the 57th Venice Art Biennale!
Berlin
We’ll take you inside creative laboratories such as SAVVY Contemporary, where artistic director Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung and his curatorial team are launching a radio station for the documenta 14 Radio Program: Every Time a Ear de Soun.
Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017
Skulptur Projekte happens once a decade! This year, the project features 35 public art commissions and expands from Münster to Marl. We’re expecting performance and sound art from Koki Tanaka, Xavier Le Roy with Scarlet Yu, and Emeka Ogboh.
Paris
Our expedition culminates in Paris, where we’ll share what inspires us about the Palais de Tokyo, Fondation Louis Vuitton, the evolving art scene of Belleville and more.
